H2F Entertainment is a management / production company that has successfully merged the resources of both entities. The company represents 36 writers, 14 directors, and 4 actors. This access to talent and material coupled with a strong development team with real production experience helps to give H2F a competitive advantage over standard production companies. H2F is committed to developing and producing a slate of high concept comedies, family films, “four quadrant” films, and smart genre pictures. In the past five years, the two partners who make up H2F have produced 7 feature films and 4 television pilots, they are presently prepping 8 other feature films, and they are in active studio/network development on an additional 4 television projects and 18 feature film projects. All of the aforesaid projects are listed later in this packet. Additionally, H2F served as an executive producer with DMG on the Chinese version of “The World’s Strongest Man Competition,” a television series shot in Chengdu, China for CCTV/ESPN (see attached article).
H2F is committed to employing innovative approaches to finding, acquiring, and developing material. The company actively plays the spec market, but it does not rely on it. The majority of pitches and specs H2F have sold have been based on ideas generated in-house. We have been able to use our development experience to help young writers break into the business. And, in return, we have access to 36 writers (23 with produced film and/or produced television series credits) whom we can use to spec in-house ideas. As an added resource, H2F has introduced a weekly writers roundtable which brings together its writers to help develop material, solve story problems, and punch-up comedy/action set pieces. This process has long been utilized by studios for pre-production comedy passes, but now H2F has adopted this system to benefit specs, pitches and projects in development. H2F’s development slate has greatly benefited, and the roundtable has resulted in material subsequently purchased by the studios. Additionally, eight members of H2F’s roundtable have formed their own comedy troupe called THE JOB FACTORY. This troupe has been the creative team behind the Disney projects “Uncoachable” and “Snobs Vs. Slobs” and Sony’s “Supermovie”.
H2F also is aligned with China based DMG to create and own properties that can be exploited in the international film & TV market. DMG is a conglomerate of companies focused on several large scale international media businesses. Among those is DMG’s control of highly marketable Chinese intellectual properties for international media exploitation. H2F has created relationships for DMG with studios such as TWC, WB’s, Sony, Universal, Fox, Disney, Summit, & Lionsgate for services ranging from local Chinese production services, to film and television distribution, to theme park marketing, to studio branding, to digital content consulting, to government lobbying, to original content creation, etc..
